Not many people are aware that just 21 kilometres from Rome on the Via Tuscolana, in the town of Frascati it is possible to access extraordinary villas, gardens, spectacular fountains, and sculptures by important artists.

Frascati’s soul is its landscape, fine climate, and cheerful wineries called fraschette.

Rome’s noble families promoted this town’s thriving cultural and historical wealth. The extraordinary villas, gardens, and spectacular water plays in fountains, nymphaea, and sculptures by artists such as Borromini, Domenichino, and Pietro da Cortona are admirable architectural masterpieces.

The water plays of Frascati’s fountais are usually described as “theatre of the waters“, and visiting Roman families villas offers magic and mysteriuos trips among the splendour of their interior settings and artworks.
